Special Session for Sponsors: Enhancing the Relationship between Investment Offices and Managers
Tuesday, February 14 | 3:00pm - 3:50pm
Institutional investors need managers to whom they can allocate assets, and investment managers need institutions to provide them with assets to manage. What sounds like a straightforward matchmaking process, however, can be fraught with inefficiencies, opacities, and misalignments.
Technological advancements have actually made things more challenging by lowering communication barriers. One obvious consequence is that everyone involved finds themselves engaged in an increasing number of conversations regarding prospective relationships.
Demystifying the motivations, priorities, and incentives of both parties can go a long way toward making everyone’s professional lives less stressful, more productive, and ultimately more profitable. With that in mind, the panel members will engage in candid and frank discussion about their perspectives on the process and encourage open dialogue with the investment managers in attendance on key issues.
