Alan Leifer

President, The Leifer Family Fund

Alan is President of The Leifer Family Fund and the founder of the Jewish Community Endowment Pool, a not-for-profit asset management enterprise that manages the endowments of nonprofit organizations and family foundations from across America who are aligned with Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston (CJP). All told, Alan is a fiduciary for over $3 billion in Jewish philanthropic assets from 150 families and organizations.
Alan is a retired voting stockholder of Fidelity Investments where he served as Portfolio Manager, Investment Committee Member, and Research Director for the equity division with responsibility for the Trend, Equity Income, Select and Contrafund. 


Alan is a current or past Board Member of CJP, The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, The Jewish Theological Seminary, and Hebrew College, and he is a National Council Member of AIPAC.
Alan holds advanced degrees from The Wharton School and Harvard's Kennedy School where he also held Teaching and Senior Fellow positions. Alan holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
