Bruce Zimmerman

CEO and Chief Investment Officer, The University of Texas Investment Management Company

Bruce E. Zimmerman is the chief executive officer and chief investment officer at The University of Texas Investment Management Company. He served as the chief investment officer and global head of pension investments at Citigroup, Inc. Previously, he served as group managing director, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer at Citi Capital Advisors Limited, and as group managing director of Citigroup Alternative Investments LLC.

Before joining Citigroup, he spent approximately 13 years at Texas Commerce Bank/JPMorgan Chase in a variety of capacities including Merger and Acquisition Investment Banking, Internet and ATM Retail Management, Consumer Marketing and Financial Planning, Strategy and Corporate Development.  Prior to joining Texas Commerce Bank/JPMorgan Chase, he was a manager at Bain & Company. He serves as a trustee of Commonfund Inc. and as a member of the investment committee at Houston Endowment.

Bruce graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Degree of Distinction from Duke University and received an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated with First and Second Year Honors.
