Julie Hammerman is the Executive Director of JLens, a network of 9,000 institutions and individuals exploring a Jewish lens on investing. JLens connects the Jewish community to the influential responsible investing arena, advises Jewish institutions (foundations, federations, nonprofits, pensions) on values-based investing, and conducts shareholder advocacy with powerful public companies on communal concerns (social, environmental, and Israel/anti-BDS) for the first Jewish values-based investment strategy.
Prior to JLens, Julie was the Impact Investing Strategist for a multi-family office, started a for-profit social enterprise, and worked in investment banking on Wall Street. She is a graduate of Harvard Business School, the Wexner Heritage program, and the UpStart incubator. JLens represents the Jewish community at the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investing, the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility, and the Vatican Impact Investing Conference.
