David E. Rosenbaum is the founder and a Managing Principal of WHI Real Estate Partners, L.P., a Chicago-based real estate investment firm with approximately $600 million of assets under management. David oversees strategy, capital markets, and risk management for WHIREP, and is Co-Chair of the firm’s Investment Committee. Previously, he was the President of Landrock Capital LLC, WHIREP’s predecessor. Prior to founding Landrock, David was a Managing Director of Security Capital Research & Management (a subsidiary of JPMorgan), where he co-managed a $2 billion real estate investment fund. Previously, he was a Vice President at Lazard Frères & Co., where he focused primarily on mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and capital markets transactions for real estate and lodging companies worldwide. David serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, and as the Chair of the Investment Committee overseeing approximately $1.1 billion of endowment and pension plan assets for JUF/JFMC and affiliated organizations. He is a past member of the JFNA National Young Leadership Cabinet. David is also a member of the Board of Trustees and former Treasurer of the Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School, and a member of the Board of Directors of the BZAEDS Endowment Fund. David holds a B.A. in Art History, cum laude, from Yale University.
