Chief Investment Officer, Covariance Capital Management

Mike is the Chief Investment Officer of Covariance, bringing more than 22 years of investment experience and eight years of relevant market and trading experience to the firm. Mike has been instrumental in leading Covariance from the firm’s inception in 2010 building out Covariance’s investment team, investment process and track record.
Prior to Covariance, Mike was the Chief Investment Officer of Glenwood Capital Investments, LLC, a $5 billion AUM fund of hedge fund subsidiary of Man Group, plc where he worked for over seven years. Prior to that Mike was a co-portfolio manager with Sirius Partners, L.P., a fund of hedge funds where he was responsible for all aspects of hedge fund manager evaluation. Mike joined Sirius Partners, L.P. after a thirteen-year career at the First National Bank of Chicago, where he developed a unique knowledge of markets from eight years as a manager in its global derivatives business. In this role, he was responsible for market making and portfolio management of over-the-counter portfolios in interest rates, commodities and equity indices.
