Bruce Zimmerman

CEO and Chief Investment Officer, The University of Texas Investment Management Company

Bruce E. Zimmerman is the chief executive officer and chief investment officer at The University of Texas Investment Management Company. He served as the chief investment officer and global head of pension investments at Citigroup, Inc. Previously, he served as group managing director, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer at Citi Capital Advisors Limited, and as group managing director of Citigroup Alternative Investments LLC.

Before joining Citigroup, he spent approximately 13 years at Texas Commerce Bank/JPMorgan Chase in a variety of capacities including Merger and Acquisition Investment Banking, Internet and ATM Retail Management, Consumer Marketing and Financial Planning, Strategy and Corporate Development.  Prior to joining Texas Commerce Bank/JPMorgan Chase, he was a manager at Bain & Company. He serves as a trustee of Commonfund Inc. and as a member of the investment committee at Houston Endowment.

Bruce graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Degree of Distinction from Duke University and received an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated with First and Second Year Honors.

Phyllis Tabachnick is a managing director and co-founder of The Tabachnick Oskin Group at J.P. Morgan Securities. She serves the investment management needs of individuals, families and business owners, maintaining a strong commitment to her clients and guiding them in making the tough decisions required to protect and grow their assets.

By leveraging the resources of J.P. Morgan, Phyllis’ clients have access to the wide spectrum of the firm’s thought leadership, investment services and banking capabilities. Beyond these resources, the strength of The Tabachnick Oskin Group is the depth of the ongoing relationships they have with their clients and their families.

Phyllis has been at J.P. Morgan and its predecessor firm for over 25 years. She came to Bear Stearns in 1989, transitioning to J.P. Morgan in 2008. A native of Akron, Ohio, Phyllis graduated from Northwestern University and currently lives on the north side of Chicago. She believes passionately in giving back to the community, serving as a mentor to young people in their professional and civic endeavors.
