Joel has over 30 years of experience in investment management, founding Mangham Associates in 1991, with prior experience at Cambridge Associates, Gemini Consulting, Monsanto Corporation and the petroleum industry. During his tenure leading Mangham Associates, the firm evolved from offering investment consulting to fully discretionary Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) services. Today, while Mangham Associates focuses primarily on OCIO solutions for foundations, endowments, other non-profits and select families, the firm also creates custom investment solutions for clients per their investment policies. Joel is experienced working with foundation boards, trustees and investment committees to integrate the investment process into each client's mission and financial circumstances. As Founder and Co-Chief Investment Officer, he leads the firm's strategic vision and implementation of investment research, asset allocation, manager evaluation and portfolio construction for client solutions. Joel has also served as chair of the investment committee for the St. Anne's-Belfield School and as treasurer and chair of the finance committee for the Miller School of Albemarle.
